“ We only sat and had a drink. The restaurant is very cozy. The outdoor seating is ample and attractive. The street is very quiet. The service was very friendly. The place was full and the food looked delicious. Even though we only ordered a beer and a glass of wine we were treated very kindly by the waitresses. I will definitely go back and try their Maultaschen! ”
“ We wanted to get a local dish and this was closed to the apartment we rented for the weekend. Not too big so very cozy. We all got the Schnitzel which was excellent. Nice interaction with the lady who runs the place and she was very friendly. Good crowd which was a mixture of tourist and locals just being there for a nice glass or wine or a beer. ”

Perhaps not so known among tourists, but definitely cherished by locals. You may have to wait for a while for your order as it gets crowded by locals over the weekend, but the taste worths the wait. “ A delightful traditional Schwäbisch restaurant in Friedenau. We stopped by for a very early (4:30pm) dinner so there was plenty of seating inside and out. We opted for the wonderful Biergarten patio area in front to enjoy the rare Berlin sunshine. The service was very attentive and took our drink orders immediately which was nice because we were parched. To eat, I ordered the Tellerschnitzel and my date got the Schweineschnitzel "Jäger Art". They both came with side salads, which were surprisingly tasty. The Tellerschnitzel was also great, though I wish it came with some kind of sauce/dip (i.e. Preiselbeeren). I also tried a few bites of my date's dish and was again pleasantly surprised. Jägerschnitzel is not easy to do well, but they nailed it! Especially with the mushrooms and Schwäbischer Spätzle, . I think we would have enjoyed the atmosphere more but they were restocking the Keller so it was pretty noisy with workmen coming and going. Despite that, we felt like we were in the heart of Schwaben with German being spoken all around us, which was great and a rare treat in Berlin! All around a great experience that I hope to have more of at other traditional German spots around the city. Prost! ”
